Are they safe for my hair?
Di Biase Hair Extensions are 100% safe for the natural hair. They’re made from the highest quality human hair available and are bonded with bio-keratin, a patented protein created to replicate the exact chemical structure of your natural hair. When applied by a certified cole mullen, di biase stylist, the strong protein/protein bond lasts for months and they are guaranteed to look and act just like your own hair. Only you will know you have extensions.
How many strands does it take?
It takes between 100 and 150 strands to complete a full head of extensions depending on the specific needs and look you have in mind. The style, length and volume of your own hair are key factors in determining the correct number. You’ll have a consultation with us to decide exactly how many so there are no surprises on the day of your installation.
How long do extensions take to apply?
Application time varies according to the number of strands and the condition of your natural hair. Generally, a full head will take 1-3 hours. During the consultation we will advise you how long an appointment you’ll need.
How long do they last?
With proper prep, installation and maintenance, cole mullen, di biase hair extensions are designed to last three to seven months. The keratin protein fuses with the natural keratin protein in your own hair for a solid bond that is durable and easy to work with.

• Schedule a consultation to develop your new style using extensions
• Prep hair properly the night before your appointment – to bond effectively, hair extensions must be applied to hair that is completely dry, clean and free of all product residue. Cleanse twice through with a clarifying shampoo, rinse and dry. No conditioner or additional product can be applied. Clean hair allows the keratin to make the most durable bond to your own keratin.
How do I care for my new extensions?
After 24 hours you can wash, style and even chemically process your full head of hair – extensions and all. Use your favorite cleansing and styling products. Take care when washing. Never EVER turn your head upside down or agitate the hair while washing or drying – it can lead to unruly tangling. Instead, apply shampoo to the top of your head and gently use a downward motion to work the shampoo from top to bottom. Rinse using the same technique. Apply conditioner from the middle of the hair to the end using the same gentle motion. With conditioner still in your hair, comb it out with a pick or wide tooth comb, then rinse. Towel dry your hair using a blotting motion. Do not rub! cole mullen also recommends applying a good spray-on detangler, again working it through with the pick or comb. Finally, once or twice a day, comb your hair with either the small or large hair extensions brush. This care will keep your extensions looking great for months.

Will they tangle while sleeping or swimming?
Some people experience mild discomfort while sleeping for the first night or two. This is normal. It is best to sleep with your hair in a low, loose ponytail held by a wide band or scrunchie. For swimming, the same low ponytail or a swimcap will prevent tangling.
Some of my extensions fell out. Now what?
Over time there will be a number of extensions that naturally fall from your hair. As part of our natural hair shedding, we lose 50 – 100 hairs a day. Some of those hairs will have extensions attached to them, so over time, some extensions will loosen and come out. Ensure their longevity with proper care while washing, sleeping and swimming.
How are extensions removed?
Extensions should always be removed by a professional, who will use a special solution which crystallizes the keratin bond. cole mullen has a removal implement used to slide the extension off with no damage to your natural hair.
